Q1. When and where do children study?

A1. It is on Saturdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. For in-person, it is in Korinbo, down town area in Kanazawa City. Children can also study online (Zoom). 

Q2. What kind of people teach Japanese language and study?

 A2. Adult supporters and volunteer college students who have received training in learning support will provide support. 

Q3. Are there fees for the program?

A3. No fee.

Q4. Which grade level children are eligible for the program?

A4. Children from elementary to high school age who can send and receive e-mail are eligible.

We do not provide pick-up and drop-off services, so children who can commute by themselves (or who can be picked up by a family member or other person) are eligible for in-person services, and children who can operate a computer/tablet/smart phone are eligible for online services.

Q5. What level of Japanese language ability is required?

A5. Our target students should be able to write hiragana and katakana, and be able to speak simple Japanese.

Q6. Which subjects do you support?

A6. We support Japanese, or kokugo and all subjects. However, we do not teach Japanese from the beginning.

Q7. What should I do if I want to /my child receive assistance?

A7. First, please contact us by clicking the "Contact " button. You and your child will meet with our staff members at a later date.

Then, after deciding on the content of support, whether it will be face-to-face or online, etc., the support will begin.

However, depending on the number of volunteer staff, we may not be able to assist you immediately. Please do not hesitate to contact us, including inquiring as to when we can begin providing support.
